Things to know about Boxnese....

Maybe it’s just ours but everyone who meets us tells us how soft she is. She is the softest dog we know. Our vet said it’s the Bernie in

her. People like to pet her because she’s so soft and she loves people so she loves the affection and the attention. She has made friends with everyone she has met so far. She’s a little shy at first when she meets new people and dogs. Maybe that has to do with her being the smallest one in the litter? She’s currently doing puppy socialization classes and puppy kindergarten to help her be good with other dogs and so she will grow up to have good manners.

What else to know.... our Boxnese is clumsy. She is currently wearing an e-collar because of a scratched cornea. But, she’s pretty chill for a puppy. She will put herself to bed at night when she’s done for the day. She’s content hanging out with us and doesn’t demand attention. She sleeps in....

One thing that is driving me crazy because I am an avid walker is that she isn’t one who is jumping at the door to go for a walk. I have to coax her out the door. We make my neighbors laugh because rather than having a pup who pulls, I have a pup who sulks behind me. Reluctantly. All the whole being bribed with treats to keep moving forward. One super bad thing is that she’s a big garbage eater outdoors. It is so hard to avoid sticks and bark where we live so we have to be super vigilant about making sure there aren’t any objects she might eat in her path. Because our other dogs were older rescues when we got them. I don’t know if this is all puppies or if this is something special to her or one of her breeds. The other day she pooped rainbow glitter. I still can not figure out what in the world she chewed on... my kids are adults. We haven’t done glitter projects in years and years.
